Legal & General Mortgage Protection Policies offer your clients added peace of mind with free SmoothMove Cover
To provide SmoothMove Legal & General have teamed up with Inter Partner Assistance, one of the largest international emergency assistance organisations. Inter Partner Assistance provides the SmoothMove Insurance Plan.
SmoothMove is a 24 hour rescue service which is provided free to your clients who are moving house when they take out a Legal & General mortgage related protection product*.
Don’t forget to provide your clients with a SmoothMove Key Features Document. Due to changes in regulation, you are now required to provide the SmoothMove Key Features and Policy Terms and Conditions document to all clients who automatically qualify for our SmoothMove cover. You can order these by contacting your Legal & General service team. |

Did you know?
SmoothMove will provide emergency assistance both on the day of your client’s house move and up to three months after they have settled in their new home.
On the actual day it will assist your client should any of the following occur:
- The removal van doesn't turn up at either address
- The clients own car breaks down on route to the new address
- Their household goods are lost in an accident, fire or theft
- The previous owners haven't moved out
Once the client arrives at their new home SmoveMove will also provide temporary domestic emergency cover for up to three months if for example:
- The heating doesn't work
- The roof is damaged
- A water pipe bursts
*SmoothMove is available for the following products when taken out in conjunction with moving home: Mortgage Term Assurance, Mortgage Decreasing Term Assurance, Mortgage Critical Illness Cover, Mortgage Decreasing Critical Illness Cover and Mortgage Payment Insurance.
