Citizens Bank is providing a new service free of charge to our customers. 

When you signed up for your Citizens Bank account, you agreed to allow Citizens Bank to contact you when payments became due. In order to better serve you, Citizens Bank will be sending SMS text alert messages to your mobile device informing you of a payment past due. 

All alerts of this nature from Citizens Bank will be sent to your mobile device from SMS short code 223727, so you will be able to identify Citizens Bank as the sender of these alerts.

There will be no charges associated with this new service, including the standard SMS fees usually associated with receiving and sending a text message. All text messages received from Citizens bank related to payment status, and all responses sent from your handset will be free to you.

* Please note, if you are a US Cellular customer for mobile services, any replies to Citizens Bank will be charged standard messaging rates

Citizens will only send a payment reminder when an account is 30 days past due.

You may also text the word HELP to SMS short code 223727 at any time to recieve further information.

If you ever believe you are getting these text messages in error, please call one of our account reps at 1-800-708-6682. They will work with you towards resolving any issue.

You may also opt out of receiving these messages at any time by texting the word STOP to SMS short code 223727..
