AmeriHealth Vision — Wal-Mart® Joins Network
On August 1, 2007, Wal-Mart Vision Centers became part of the Davis Vision network that supports all AmeriHealth commercial and Medicare Vision programs. Many of the doctors located in the Wal-Mart Vision Centers also joined the Davis Vision network, effective August 1, 2007. As a result, we now have more than 1,900 participating providers locally and more than 19,000 participating providers nationally.
LOCATING PARTICIPATING PROVIDERS. Locally, about 90 percent of Wal-Mart’s on-site doctors participate in the Davis Vision network; nationally, about 70 percent participate. To locate a participating provider:

This link takes members to Davis Vision’s Provider Finder. When members use a Wal-Mart Vision Center for eyewear purchases, they should also check the participation status of the on-site doctor for eye exams. Participating Wal-Mart Vision Centers and on-site optometrists are now included in Davis Vision's Provider Finder (via the www.amerihealth.com link).
