Effective June 1, AmeriHealth enters a new, multi-year agreement with Somerset Medical Center, located in Somerville, NJ.

Physician Network Growth
AmeriHealth continued to grow its physician network in the first quarter, adding more than 280 physicians statewide – with more than half of these new physicians based in New Jersey’s Northern and Central counties.
Health and Wellness
Employer Wellness Programs
AmeriHealth continues to conduct BMI screenings and provide wellness coaching at employer groups throughout New Jersey, including:
- weekly on-site wellness coaching at Underwood Memorial Hospital;
- BMI screenings and wellness coaching for The Hibbert Group in New Jersey and Delaware;
- biometric screenings and wellness coaching at four Burns-Kull locations;
- BMI screenings at Manuta BOE and Gloucester County special schools.
In addition, AmeriHealth sponsored and participated in a Wellness Expo for Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey. AmeriHealth also provided BMI screenings at the event, which was attended by 145 business owners and employees.
Finally, nurse wellness specialists from AmeriHealth participated in the County of Camden Health Fair and “Biggest Loser” weight contest, once again providing BMI screenings.
