Nutrition Counseling Now a Core Benefit

 

Obesity in America is a growing epidemic. That is why we are focusing and expanding our programs to provide additional resources and incentives to help members get healthy and stay healthy. And we've just added nutrition counseling as a core benefit to our comprehensive plans.

Beginning July 1, 2007, we are pleased to offer our HMO, POS, Direct POS, and PPO members coverage for up to six nutrition counseling visits with a participating physician or registered dietitian per calendar year at no additional cost to them.

More Flex Options for Small Groups

 

Small groups asked for more flexibility — and flexibility they shall have! We’re introducing new Flex Copay Series options with a $30 PCP copay and inpatient copays up to $400 per day. These options will be available with Keystone HMO, POS, Direct POS and Personal Choice® products for July 1, 2007, effective dates.

New Drug Options Promote Use of Generics

 

To encourage the use of generic drugs, we are introducing two new Select Drug Program® options - $0/$25/$50 and $5/$30/$50. With no or low generic copays combined with significantly higher brand and non-formulary brand copays, members have more incentive to choose cost-saving generics. These options will be available as HMO/POS Drug Riders, PPO Drug Riders and Freestanding Drug Programs for July 1, 2007, effective dates.

IBC Vision — Wal-Mart® Joins Network

 

Later this summer, IBC Vision members will be able to add routine eye exams and eyewear to their Wal-Mart shopping list. Effective August 1, 2007, we are expanding our Davis Vision provider network to include Wal-Mart Vision Centers and many of the doctors of optometry located there. The addition of Wal-Mart to the Davis Vision network applies to all IBC Vision programs under every commercial, Medicare, and CHIP program.
